    The Silver Lake Jeep Invasion runs May 28th through June 1st, 2026. This marks our 10th year anniversary celebration.
  • What events happen during the weekend?

    Events include Jeep Show 'n Shine, raffles, parade to the dunes, live music, food vendors, and sunset cruise to the dunes.
  • Where can I stay nearby?

    Hideaway Campground is located nearby and provides convenient lodging for the weekend event. Many attendees stay there during the invasion.
  • Who can attend this event?

    We welcome Jeep owners from northern Indiana, northern Ohio, northern Illinois, all of Michigan, and everywhere else. All Jeep enthusiasts are invited.
  • How many people typically attend?

    Each year the event draws over a thousand vehicles and thousands of visitors to Silver Lake for the celebration.
  • Is this family-friendly?

    Yes, we're committed to safety, inclusivity, and family-friendly fun both on and off the dunes for all ages.
  • Who sponsors the event?

    Motor State Distributing is our title sponsor. We also partner with local vendors, sponsors, and volunteers throughout the community.

    We emphasize respect for the dunes ecosystem and responsible recreation to preserve Silver Lake's natural beauty for future generations.

    The invasion is founded and operated by local Jeep enthusiasts passionate about the Silver Lake dunes community and Michigan's off-road heritage.

    -Street Legal, No Trailers


    -Front Mounted Square Orange Safety Flag on 10' Pole


    -Recreation Passport or Non Resident Sticker


    -ORV Pass


    -Trail Pass


    -Tires Aired Down (Max 15psi)


    -Seatbelts for All Occupants


    -Eye Protection (Windshield, Goggles or Face Shield)


    -Spark Arrester Type Exhaust


    -Helmets for Occupants Not Protected by Roll Bars


    -Maximum Noise 94db


    -No Alcohol, Coolers Will Be Checked

  • What stickers or permits do I need to get onto the dunes?

    All Vehicles are required to have an ORV and Trail Sticker placed on the rear of the vehicle and a Recreation Passport or Non Resident Sticker.


    These stickers are available at the Silver Lake State Park Welcome Center located at 8505 W Fox Rd, Mears, MI 49436

  • My Jeep is Trailered What Should I Do?

    To partake in the Jeep Parade to the dunes all vehicles must be street legal. If your Jeep is trailered you will need to obtain a parking lot voucher. You can then join everyone when we make it onto the dunes at the rallying point!


    The voucher distribution point on Hazel Road will open at 8 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. Parking Lot Vouchers will be handed out Friday starting at 8 a.m. for Saturday and Saturday at 8 a.m. for Sunday.

  • My Jeep is Stock, Can I Drive On The Dunes?

    Absolutely!


    The only modification requirements to your vehicle are lowered tire pressure (12-15psi) and a flag mount.
